Privacy Policy

Last updated October 17, 2026

This policy explains how Deadcakes LLC ("Deadcakes", "we") handles information in its games and apps and on deadcakes.com. The sections below apply to all of our games. Each game's section under Products says which of them it uses.

The short version

Information we handle

Game progress and settings

Progress, records, and settings (such as sound and music) are stored in your browser or on your device. They are not sent to us unless you turn on cloud save (below). You can erase them at any time with the game's reset option, by clearing your browser's site data, or by deleting the app. Some games let you export your save as a file; that file stays wherever you put it.

Accounts (optional)

Some of our games let you sign in so that purchases and cloud saves follow you between devices. When you sign in or make a purchase, the game creates an account on our server, identified by a random ID. Depending on how you sign in, we store:

To sign in with email, we send you a one-time code through our email provider, Mailgun. The code expires after a short time. We do not send newsletters or marketing email.

Cloud saves (optional)

If you turn on cloud save, the game uploads your save to our server so you can restore it on another device. We keep the latest save and the one before it for each of your devices, with a device label such as "iPhone AB12" and the time it was saved. Saves are not shared with anyone. Turning cloud save off stops uploads; deleting your account deletes the saves.

On Steam, a game may also keep your save in Steam Cloud. Steam Cloud is run by Valve under Steam's privacy policy, and you can turn it off in Steam.

Purchases

Purchases are made through the App Store (Apple), Google Play (Google), Steam (Valve), or, in a browser, Stripe. We use RevenueCat to check purchases made through Apple, Google, and Stripe. These companies handle your payment details; we never see them. We receive and keep a record of each purchase: the store, a transaction ID, the product, the price and currency, the time, and whether it was refunded, so we can unlock what you bought, restore it on your other devices, and handle refunds. On Steam, we ask Steam whether your account owns the game.

Our website and servers

Like most websites, the server that hosts deadcakes.com, our browser games, and our account service keeps standard access logs: the IP address of the device making a request, the page or file requested, the time, and the browser's user-agent string. We use these logs only to operate the service, fix problems, and protect it from abuse. Our account service also counts requests by IP address for up to ten minutes to limit abuse. Our browser games do not use analytics or set cookies of their own; a game's saves live in your browser's storage. When you buy in a browser, the checkout is Stripe's, and Stripe uses cookies to prevent fraud.

Advertising in our mobile apps

Our iOS apps that show ads use Google AdMob. We request non-personalized ads: ads are not chosen from a profile of your interests or browsing history. To deliver, limit, and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google's software in the app may collect information such as:

Google handles this information under its own policy; see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. We do not ask for permission to track you across other companies' apps, and our apps do not track you that way.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before ads are requested, as the law requires. You can change your choice at any time in the app's SETTINGS, under AD PRIVACY.

Service providers

We use these companies to run our games. Each handles information under its own policy.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep account information and cloud saves until you delete your account. A game that offers accounts has a DELETE ACCOUNT option in its settings: it deletes your account, your sign-in methods, and your cloud saves from our server at once. Your saves on your device are not touched. Purchase records are kept after an account is deleted, as required for accounting, tax, and refunds, with their link to the account removed. Store purchases are not refunded by deleting an account; ask the store you bought from.

You can also email us to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. Payment information held by Apple, Google, Valve, Stripe, or RevenueCat is managed with them.

Children

Our games are made for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Products

ALTTP (web and iOS)

An arcade game played in the browser at deadcakes.com/alltp and as an iOS app. It has no accounts and saves everything on your device. The iOS app shows one Google AdMob banner (non-personalized ads) and uses the phone's haptics for tap feedback. The browser version shows no ads.

Endless Hunter (Steam, iOS, Android, and web)

An idle adventure game on Steam for Windows, Mac, and Linux, on iPhone and Android, and in the browser at deadcakes.com/endless-hunter. It shows no ads. It saves on your device and can export your save as a file. Accounts are optional: sign in with email, Apple, Google, or Steam to keep the full game and cloud saves across devices. The full game is bought through the App Store, Google Play, Steam, or Stripe in the browser. On Steam it uses Steam achievements and Steam Cloud. The free Steam demo plays the first land; its FULL GAME button opens the Steam store.
